Soccer for every child in the District of Columia!

The DC Soccer Federation was founded by a group of District residents dedicated to taking down the economic barriers to soccer participation in our city. All of our programs are offered at low cost or no cost to every child, and we play on fields generously provided by the District of Columbia Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), and you can register right here for Spring 2024.

In September 2023, we launched DC’s MLS Go pilot program, in collaboration with the DC Department of Parks and Recreation. Our program served 89 DC children between the ages of 7 and 9 playing on eight teams in the Fall of 2023. Throughout the pilot, we provided daily practice, with flexibility for children to attend as few as two or as many as five practices per week, and games on Saturdays. Our volunteer-run weekly practices continued through the winter and were free for any children that wanted to play between seasons!

Heading into Spring 2024, we have put together a full fledged program to serve several hundred DC children. This Spring, we will also offer referee clinics for teens, culminating in referee certificate providing a pathway for DC youth to work as referees in games across the DMV area.

We are a proud affiliate of the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA). With the generous support of MSYSA will will provide coach training for DC youth and adults this Spring, as well programs focused on social-emotional development for children.

We welcome ideas and collaborations, and you can write to us at nat@dcsoccerfederation.org
